..foooodddd?

Sometimes when I'm eating whatever I want (and it happens to be junk food) someone will feel like saying to me "you don't know what it's like to be... on a diet/fat/aware!". My usual response would be "Sorry?" if I feel like being nice and "Maybe if you exercised/had more willpower/looked in the mirror" if I don't feel like being nice.

I think my new response will be "you don't know what it's like to not be white".

This will always work. I've only had white girls feel a need to tell others that they're offended by "insensitive" eating habits - quite possibly because when the media pushes its skinny = beautiful agenda, it's also pushing white = beautiful, making it have much less of an impact on minorities.

*waits to be proved wrong*

  3. Once I get my weight really down, I should see if I get that, too...

"Actually, I used to weigh 60 pounds more." (Can't do that yet.)

("That's impossible! Only paid actors lose weight!")
